Important Mechanical Installation Note
Care must be exercised when mounting a toroidal transformer to a metallic chassis. Both ends of the central fixing bolt must never be allowed to come into contact simultaneously with a metal chassis or structural enclosure framework. Allowing metal contact at both ends creates a continuous closed conductive loop through the center bolt, resulting in a shorted turn that will cause severe overheating and transformer destruction.
